Day two - Petrified wood, Meteor Crater, and New Mexico

My grandparents and I got to see petrified wood. It is wood that is turned into stone. Long ago people blasted the rocks to get crystals and emeralds out. Some of the wood is bigger than me!

We even got to see a meteor crater. It is 4,100 feet long. The meteor vaporized. Also I got to touch a different meteor.

I got to see the border of Arizona and New Mexico. We made it to New Mexico.

  2. I've never seen petrified wood that big before and that crater is cool, too. we have a place near where I live called crater lake. it's a crater that's filled with water so that it's now a lake. I'm not sure how the crater was formed, probably by a meteor.
